- 1 tsp red chili powder
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- ½ tsp garam masala
- ½ tsp black pepper powder
- Salt (to taste)
- ½ cup coconut milk (optional, for rich flavor)
- 2 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
👨🍳 Preparation Steps
Step 1: Clean the Prawns
- Wash the prawns thoroughly with water.
- Add turmeric powder, salt, and lemon juice. Mix well and let it rest for 10 minutes.
- Rinse again with fresh water and drain completely.
Step 2: Prepare the Masala
- Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, and bay leaf.
- Add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
- Add ginger-garlic paste and fry until the raw smell disappears.
- Add green chilies and chopped tomatoes. Cook until tomatoes turn soft.
Step 3: Cook the Prawns
- Add turmeric, red chili powder, coriander powder, salt, and mix well.
- Add cleaned prawns and stir-fry for 2–3 minutes on medium heat.
- Cover and cook for 5 minutes until prawns release their juices.
- Add black pepper powder, garam masala, and mix well.
- (Optional) Add coconut milk for a creamy texture. Cook for another 5 minutes.

- Add fresh coriander leaves and turn off the heat.
